It was a night of celebration as the Kirk House staff team joined others in the Titanic Conference Centre to celebrate excellence in the care profession.  Kirk House had been shortlisted in three categories: Excellence in Dementia Care, Home Manager of the Year and Senior Healthcare Assistant of the Year. We were delighted when Kirk House was announced as the winner in the Dementia Care category, with Andrea Selby being Highly Commended.  We were also so pleased that our Senior Healthcare Assistant had been shortlisted as this recogn

Join us for coffee on Care Home Open Day (Saturday 21 April) and meet some of our staff and residents.  We shall be open to the public from 10.30am - 12.30 pm.

Following the success of their first visit to Kirk House before Christmas, children (aged 3-5 years) from Puddleducks Day Nursery were excited to join their new friends for a second morning of fun and activities.  But it wasn't just the children who were looking forward to it!  The residents were delighted to once again welcome the children to their home and to enjoy sharing in their energy and zest for life.

Congratulations to our volunteers who were nominated for the Age Friendly Belfast Older Volunteer Recognition Award 2017. The celebration took place on Tuesday in City Hall and all the nominees really enjoyed it.

Thank you for all your hard work at BCM Wednesday Lunch Club and ENGAGES ALL Inter-generational Programme and Volunteer Forum.

Some of our residents and staff had decided that they wished to celebrate Remembrance Day at the Ulster Museum in Belfast and see the beautiful Weeping Window instalation. This amazing instalation consists of several thousand of handmade ceramic poppies pouring from a high window to the ground below.

The residents and the staff members really enjoyed the outing and the day was very emotional for everybody.
