Our visiting policy is reviewed regularly in line with the government pathway towards normalising visits to care homes. 

The Annual Sale at Kirk House had a slightly different emphasis this year as it was marking 25 years since the home was first opened.  Our special guest was Pamela Ballantine who unveiled the plaque which had been made by the residents.  Rita Norwood, who has lived in Kirk House since it was first opened, was there to assist Pamela and Rev David Campton (BCM's new Superintendent) and to make sure the job was done right!  What a day it was.  Lots of laughter, families enjoying time with their loved ones, and good things to eat.  Thank you to all those who supported it.

Kirk House staff and residents will be celebrating 25 years of Kirk House on Saturday 8th September 2018 with an extra special Annual Sale in the grounds and buildings of the accommodation.  All are welcome to attend and to enjoy the variety of stalls and entertainment which will be found there. There's been lots of hard work going on in preparation for this special day and relatives of those living in Kirk House have been busy too.

The fun starts at 1pm so why not pop in and join us. 

It was a night of celebration as the Kirk House staff team joined others in the Titanic Conference Centre to celebrate excellence in the care profession.  Kirk House had been shortlisted in three categories: Excellence in Dementia Care, Home Manager of the Year and Senior Healthcare Assistant of the Year. We were delighted when Kirk House was announced as the winner in the Dementia Care category, with Andrea Selby being Highly Commended.  We were also so pleased that our Senior Healthcare Assistant had been shortlisted as this recogn
