Kirk House celebrate at the Staff Nursing Care Awards

It was a night of celebration as the Kirk House staff team joined others in the Titanic Conference Centre to celebrate excellence in the care profession. Kirk House had been shortlisted in three categories: Excellence in Dementia Care, Home Manager of the Year and Senior Healthcare Assistant of the Year. We were delighted when Kirk House was announced as the winner in the Dementia Care category, with Andrea Selby being Highly Commended. We were also so pleased that our Senior Healthcare Assistant had been shortlisted as this recognised the brilliant progress she has made in her career and also the value placed on her by her colleagues and the residents at Kirk House. Well done to everyone.

Meet your Kirk House Manager

Sharon Mcilroy is the Residential Manager for Kirk House

Sharon Mcilroy is the Residential Manager for Kirk House. Sharon is part of the Kirk House family, having worked her way up to managerial positions over a number of years. Her excellent reputation saw her seconded to our Copelands residential home to assist in developing core services at that new location. With the appointment of a permanent manager there, Sharon has now returned in 2023 to take up the manager role at Kirk House- a decision that has been warmly received by residents and staff alike.
