Age Friendly Innovation Workshop

BCM has been working in partnership with the University of Ulster and will hold the Age Friendly Innovation Workshop on Thursday 19th October at Kirk House.

The workshop will provide an opportunity for those with an interest in technology innovation for older adults to come together in an informal setting to discuss the latest innovations within the area. It will be opened by a brief set of talks from Kirk House Care Home, Ulster University, and Belfast Central Mission. A demonstration session will consist of live demonstrations of developments in the area from academia and industry. Finally, the workshop will close with a tour of Kirk House Care Home's award winning Memory Lane Dementia Unit, and a light lunch.

Meet your Kirk House Manager

Sharon Mcilroy is the Residential Manager for Kirk House

Sharon Mcilroy is the Residential Manager for Kirk House. Sharon is part of the Kirk House family, having worked her way up to managerial positions over a number of years. Her excellent reputation saw her seconded to our Copelands residential home to assist in developing core services at that new location. With the appointment of a permanent manager there, Sharon has now returned in 2023 to take up the manager role at Kirk House- a decision that has been warmly received by residents and staff alike.
