Staff stepping out at the Belfast City Marathon

Congratulations to all the Kirk House staff who took part in the Belfast City Marathon on Monday 6 May. Gavin took part in a BCM Marathon Relay team with staff from BCM head office who finished an impressive 396th in under four hours! Meanwhile, Sarah, Sharon and Julianna finished the 9 mile walk in two and a half hours. Sharon and Sarah were both somewhat stiff the next day but Julianna got off without any aches or pains at all!

Overall, they have raised a great total of nearly £600 for Kirk House, which will be for the benefit of residents, going towards extras such as outings and entertainment.

Sharon Mcilroy is the Residential Manager for Kirk House

Sharon Mcilroy is the Residential Manager for Kirk House. Sharon is part of the Kirk House family, having worked her way up to managerial positions over a number of years. Her excellent reputation saw her seconded to our Copelands residential home to assist in developing core services at that new location. With the appointment of a permanent manager there, Sharon has now returned in 2023 to take up the manager role at Kirk House- a decision that has been warmly received by residents and staff alike.
