Claire Keatinge, Commissioner for Older People visits Kirk House

We were delighted to welcome Claire Keatinge, Commissioner for Older People for Northern Ireland to Kirk House recently.  This was a great chance for Kirk House to 'show off' and highlight what makes us so special and why Kirk House so different to other similar residential accommodation.  After explaining her role and how she works to help older people across Northern Ireland, the Commissioner toured Kirk House with Manager Sarah Penney and heard how we are developing the Memory Wing to provide specialist dementia care.

The Commissioner then mingled with staff, residents and their relatives over coffee and got the opportunity to visit some reisdents individually.
